Summit Engineering Technology Pvt. Ltd., ( SETPL ) offers Fixture clamps from “Mitee-Bite”– USA . These are made of an eccentric socket head cap screw and a hexagonal brass clamping element. This novel clamping system gives the designer the advantage of space-saving edge clamps with the cost savings of standard clamps. The system is a unique approach to clamping that combines the security of a screw clamp and the speed of a cam action clamp into a single clamping device. The low profile design ensures that the clamp is out of the way and its small size allows more parts per fixture. The cam action, which provides fast,strong clamping, requires only a quarter turn to tighten or loosen. It is available in clamping screw sizes from M-4 to M-16. Advantages of fixture clamps: low profile makes computer programming easier; cam action provides fast, strong clamping; small size allows more parts per load; and simple design keeps cost low.

The Uniforce clamp from Mitee-Bite, USA, is a wedge style edge clamp that holds two workpieces with equal pressure on each piece. The wedge principal generates an extremely high force relative to the size of the wedge. The Uniforce clamp consists of a steel wedge in an aluminium channel and a screw. As the screw is tightened, the wedge is lowered in the channel, expanding the channel to exert holding force on the side of two workpieces. Load density is typically increased when using this clamp because of its compact design. The workpiece can be flat or round, as the uniqueness of the clamp lends itself to holding-most shapes on either a vertical or horizontal position. These are very much useful on machining fixtures to enable multiple workpiece clamping on machining centre or a milling machine. Advantages: minimizes tool changes; holds two parts with equilateral clamping action; ideal for clamping flat or round workpieces; and reduces wasted space. The Uniforce clamp is available in seven different sizes, using screws from M2 to M16 for mounting.
